Why is coffee so expensive from other coffee roasters?

What about the quality of my coffee beans?

Despite what all the coffee roasters say, we pretty much get our green beans from the same places. There are only a handful of coffee brokers around so everyone starts with the same quality.

Can I develop or design my own blends?

Yes, in fact we prefer it! Why limit yourself to a few choices your roaster may offer. We feel that when you develop your own blend, you become more involved, your customers get more Involved, and your sales go up dramatically.

If I buy coffee at a lower price, will I make more money?

Do you really have to ask this one? Yes you save money, lots of it. At a couple of bucks a pound per week, month, year, well, you do the math!

What’s the big lie?

Well, there are many lies in the coffee business. But, The one I like the most is, "We select only the finest 2% of all green beans". Another great one is, "We use only 100% Arabica coffee beans". Please, don’t deal with someone who tells you these things.

Do I have to hang advertising signs and promotional products from Ootopia?

No, although we have them, we like customers to sell the coffee as theirs. They develop it, they brew it, and they sell it. We just roast it.

Do you want to promote your roaster or your business?

Don’t let your roaster use you for free promotion and their HIGH profits too. With all our experience, we truly believe that when you promote the "BRAND NAME ROASTER", for everyone you draw in, you drive away three, because they don’t like that particular brand. However, selling your own blend will keep most of them!

Can I negotiate a better price?

Yes, we will work with you on pricing. It will involve the cost of the coffee beans we put in your blends, the cost of shipping, and your projected volumes.

Coffee is important for espresso bars and coffeehouses, however, does it matter as much for mini-markets, restaurants, and other food service establishments?

Absolutely, coffee may be your so-called lost leader. The better the coffee, the more they come and the more they buy. Plus coffee is profitable, so the same rule applies!
